One day in ‘03, my first grade teacher handed out paint swatches for a writing exercise.

I remember finding my seven-year-old self mesmerized. My love for the connection between the shades, their names, and stories was clear.

When I got home, I handed my mom a fridge-worthy lavender inspired poem and told her I wanted to be “the person who names paint swatches” when I grew up.

Turns out that was just a long way to say copywriter.
